0x08 (0x08) — Service not supported

The object exists but does not implement the requested service — for example a Set on an object that only supports Get.

How to fix it

  1. Check the object's service list
    The CIP object definition lists supported services. Read-only attributes reject Set with 0x08, not 0x0E.
  2. Prefer standard services
    Get_Attribute_Single and Get_Attribute_All are broadly implemented; vendor services are not.
